The Aghori Babas, who live in the city of Varanasi, India, are famous for eating the dead.
They believe that the greatest fear human beings have is the fear of their own deaths and that this fear is a barrier to spiritual enlightenment.
This mysterious tribe is known for their disturbing nature to eat anything. They live in cemeteries and feast on human flesh as part of their rituals.
They will also eat rotten food, putrefied garbage, and even excreta such as human faeces or urine.
Most times, these items are consumed out of a human skull bowl or some other dish made from human bones. To an Aghori, eating garbage is all the same as eating anything else.

Mohbad’s DJ Narrates His Last Moments Before Dëäth To Court, How He Vomited Noodles After Nurse’s Injection

The late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, started vomiting after he was administered an injection by a nurse, according to his disc jockey Ajisegiri Ayobami.

The DJ told an inquest looking into Mohbad’s death in Ikorodu on Wednesday.

The inquest heard that Ajisegiri was with the late Mohbad before he died.

It also heard that Mohbad vomited the noodles his brother, Adura Aloba, prepared for him.

Ajisegiri explained that the previous day, which was a Sunday, they went for a show at Ikorodu, and on their way back, their Toyota Prado was blocked, and he saw Mohbad come down from his SUV to fight his friend, Primeboy but got injured

Ajisegiri also told the coroner that the injury sustained by Mohbad was a small cut on his hand and that by the time they got home at midnight, the hand was already swollen, a report by The PUNCH said.

He stated that they tried to call Mohbad’s personal nurse, but she said she was not around, so one of their team members identified as Spending said he knew a nurse.

Ajisegiri said they called the nurse and that she gave Mohbad an injection.

Ajisegiri asserted that Mohbad was doing fine before the nurse came and slept before he was injected. He said that there was water on the floor in Mohbad’s room and that he went to get a mop when his wife shouted his name from upstairs that he should come back.

According to the witness, when he got there, he saw that Mohbad had collapsed on the floor and vomited the noodles that he had eaten.

He added that he also noticed that he had goosebumps.

He said, “The nurse said we should go and get him drugs; while we were at the pharmacy, I called the house to know how he was feeling, and they said I should come back.

“When I got back, they were already outside trying to put him in a neighbour’s car to get him to the hospital, but the way I saw him, he was lifeless. His eyes were closed, and his hands were falling.”

“While we were going to the hospital, there was traffic, so I came down from the other vehicle and ran to the hospital; I asked them if they had an an ambulance, and they said no. Before I could get back to them, I saw them bringing Mohbad on a bike, and when we got to the hospital, he was confirmed dead,” the witness added

MY GOD, WHEN?

Part 29.

"Young lady, I know you are a prostitute. A prostitute cannot marry my only son." His mother said as she took her seat.

"Ma, I'm not a...." I tried explaining to her.

"Will you keep quiet!!" She screamed.

I didn't know when I began to shed tears. I looked at my husband-to -be's face with hatred. I never expected him to tell his mother because he never told me he was going to tell her.

I tried to explain myself to his mum but, she wasn't listening to me.

"Well, my daughter, I'm so sorry for all these. Nevertheless, my son won't be able to marry you again. Please, take heart." His father said.

My world came crumbling. I couldn't believe my eyes. My hope was dashed into the thin air.

I managed to adjust my buttock on my seat. His mum was looking at me as if I poured feaces on my body. She was looking at me with eyes full of hatred.

His son was speechless. I think he never loved me. It was desperation for a woman in his life that made him decided to settle for me with or without a womb.

It was as if I was dreaming. I was still deeply lost in thought when his father brought me back to my senses.

"Young lady, do have your seat. We need to entertain you with something. Even if it is a fruit juice, you need to take something." He said.

"I'm ok sir. I managed to utter." I managed to reply. I was controlling myself inorder not to break down in tears.

"No, young lady. You need to take something. You see, that is not the end of life for you. May God give you a man that will accept you for who you are." He said.

"Amen." I replied. The mother was just acting somehow to me.

"Dear, please, serve her something." His father said to his wife.

"Over my dead body will I serve a prostitute something in this house. Over my dead body will I serve this empty barrel, filthy rag something in this house." She said as she pointed at me and hissed.

It was as if the ground should swallow me up.

I never expected such.

Her son wanted to get something for me but, the woman shouted at him.

I wasn't even ready to take anything. It was as if I should be out of his parent's house but, the strength was not there. I tried calming myself that it was a dream. It became a reality.

After some time, his father and mother left the sitting room. It remained the two of us.

As he was coming closer to me to pacify or apologize for what happened, it was as if the spirit of hatred was released into the atmosphere.

I just had hatred for him all of a sudden. I took my bag without looking back and left.

Immediately I got home, I broke down in tears afresh.

"My God, when??? You promised to work things out for me. You told me my man was coming. Lord, when??? Is it when I'm fully old that a man will come around? Lord, please, just do a miracle in my life.

Just restore my womb. I want to have a womb. Lord please, remember me. This reproach is getting too much. I cannot bear it anymore. God please, don't keep quiet on my matter.

Have mercy on me Father. God, please!!!! I thought Leke was meant for me. He has left me. God, please, enough of all these heartbreak. God, please!!! When will my man come around. God, when!!!! God...."I poured myself out to God as if He was physically present with me.

Leke tried reaching me on phone but, I just couldn't pull my self together to receive his calls after all, I knew he wasn't calling for us to continue the relationship. He tried reaching me to apologize.

He sent a text message to me after some days. The message brought back memories.

I broke down in tears. If my wombs were still intact, I believe I would have been married without delay. My past affected me especially in the aspect of marriage.

Well, you can actually blame me for telling people about my past but I am a woman with conscience. I don't want to deceive a man into marriage.

Fine, if I didn't tell anyone about my past, and I finally get married, and after 2 years, no child to call our own, knowing fully well that the fault was from my end, what will happen if the man later gets to know?

What if he finally gets to know from someone? You know that can scatter my marriage.

So, I just don't want to deceive any man into marriage because everyone believes that fruit of the womb is important.

I just couldn't hold back my tears. I wish I could change the hands of time.

My mum was on my neck, asking when the man would come, visiting. My dad literally disowned me. He didn't see me as his daughter.

Life wasn't easy for me. All my mates were married. In fact, all my friends were already having children. In fact, some of them had finished childbearing.

I was frustrated. I was tired of living as a single. I wanted to commit suicide. Many thoughts came to my mind.

I decided to pray to God about it.Yet, I didn't receive immediate response. Men stopped asking for my hands in marriage.

I wrote marriage off.

"Maybe I wasn't destined to marry and have children" I said to myself.

I focused on my career. I devoted more time to my personal growth and development. I was closer to God. I was walking in my purpose. Yes, fulfilling my purpose in life.

To be continued

TEMPTED SOUL

EPISODE 7

"What is the problem? Why are you following me around? I hope I am safe." I asked the young, pretty girl when she approached me face to-face. She was smiling. Her hair looked like something that had not been plaited for ages. I could perceive an unpleasant odour oozing out from the blue gown she was putting on. I felt uncomfortable standing with her, but then I didn't have a choice.

"Yes, you're safe," she whispered.

"So, what is the problem? How may I help you, please?" I inquired. She kept smiling. I didn't know what was really funny though, and the reason she was smiling.

"I just want to... I just wanted to..to.." She stammered and started biting her finger nails like a village champion. One of those village champions who they just brought to the city recently. To me, this wasn't funny at all.

"Please, speak up. I need to go home quickly and I do not have much time to waste," I said with curiosity.

She finally spoke up: "I just want to let you know that you are beautiful, I like you, and I will like to be like you." At that moment, a smile escaped from my lips. I could feel my heart dancing in joy again. "Thank you for your compliment. That means a lot to me." I chuckled. We discussed for a few minutes after she mentioned that her name was Chioma. I was like, ah, we are from the same tribe. I was even shocked to hear her speak my dialect fluently.

"Please, I want you to help me. I really need a job. I am willing to do whatever it takes to put food on the table for me and my mother. We are passing through a lot. We don't even have a roof to stay on." She started begging as tears filled her eyes. I felt really sorry for her and her mother.

"So where do you people stay?" I was shocked to hear that they didn't have a place to stay, "We sleep inside the wood market. Like I said, it hasn't been easy for us. My uncle illegally took away everything that my father ever worked for. He accused my mother of being over the death of my father and kicked us out of the house." Her story was sad to hear.

Besides, wood market was a place the Mallam slaughter their cow before taking it to the main market, the smells that always comes out from the market was not the kind of smell someone can bear. So what came to my mind was how do these people managed to sleep there and feel comfortable, at the same time live a healthy life.

"Chioma, I will see what I can do to save you and your poor mother from this situation. Hi Hannie on+2349015811371 to be added to story headquarters room for more stories. I don't have money because I am still a student, but I will try my best to help you and your mother. First, you need to give me time. Let me discuss with my elder brother, and I believe with a Godly heart he will listen to me," I assured Chioma, who was now my new friend in the city.

Since I landed my feet on the soil of the city of Mba, I haven't made a girl friend. Chioma seemed nice and I pitied their situation. I told her I would come back to her within the week for feedback. The following day was going to be a big market day where all the people in the city would go to the big market and buy things in full stock. It was going to be a busy day for every tom and dick.

Due to the situation I found Chioma, I've already counted the money which I was going to use for the market the following day. I pulled out some money from it and handed it over to her. I knew I was not supposed to touch the money because it doesn't belongs to me, but I did it because of the act of kindness from my heart. I've saved up some money in my account, I was going to withdraw from my account and replace it.

"Use this to get food, plait your hair, get new wears, and keep some." I said, she went on her knees sobbing warm tears and thanking me for what I'd done for her. She was sobbing tears of joy, and I understood her feelings. "Stop crying, if the world seemed to reject you, God will never reject you, and you should be thanking God not me." I held her up.

She left and returned immediately, handing me a white piece of paper containing a phone number. "Please, you can reach out to me through the number. God will bless you and keep you safe from the evil hands." She muttered heartily as I took the piece of paper, put it inside my backpack and left.

When I got home that evening, all I did was think about Chioma and not about my good result or how I was going to buy goods the following day in the market. My mother and elder brother were so glad to hear about my good performance. "I am always proud of you. Believe me, someday you will take over the mantle of power of this great nation," brother Okechi commended. My mother, too, was the most joyous person on earth that evening.

Because I was still thinking about Chioma, her condition bothered me a lot. I wanted to discuss it with my brother so that he could provide an apartment for them and she could manage the shop when I finally got admitted into the university. A lot of things flashed through my mind. Unfortunately, my brother went into his room and slept off due to work stress, so I never bothered him anyway.

When I wanted to sleep, a text message popped out on the screen of my phone, and I checked. It was Alfonso, of all people. I was shocked after reading his text message.

"Hello, Nkem, my own. Remember the love you have for me? Remember you promised to love me? Why did you choose to hurt my heart now? I am deeply disappointed in you, because I asked for common help. Why did you choose to show me the other part of you? You are heartless. I am texting you to let you know that I also have a bad part of me. You've just stepped on the toe of a lion and because you've refused to grant me my heart desire, take note that I am coming for you... Remember the meaning of my name, 'ready' I am always to strike into action and spare no blood."

I tried to call him so that he could explain the meaning of what he just texted me, but he declined my calls and blocked my line. What was really wrong with him? I think Alfonso must be going insane to text me such senseless words. That night left me in awe, and my heart beat like a drum. What will I even do to save myself from this situation? Why would he want to endanger my dream? Was it by force to help someone? Was it by force to love someone? Why all these temptation? What the heck!

[Verse 1: Sweater Weather]
And all I am is a man
I want the world in my hands
I hate the beach but I stand
In California with my toes in the sand
Use the sleeves of my sweater
Let's have an adventure
Head in the clouds but my gravity's centered
Touch my neck and I'll touch yours
You in those little high waisted shorts, oh
[Chorus: After Dark]
As the hours pass
I will let you know
That I need to ask
Before I'm alone
How it feels to rest
On your patient lips
To eternal bliss

Episode:5

.

Tessy got to the sitting room and met Frank and a very young handsome guy playing game, though the guy was very much younger than Frank and handsome, the guy was putting on ear ring, and there was a chain round his two legs, his mouth was painted red, Tessy looked at the young guy from head to toe then to Frank ''baby u came back home on time! didn't u meet ur mum again? Frank asked but got no response ''baby am talking to u! didn't u meet ur mum again? Frank repeated ''i want to see u in the room right now", was all Tessy said before walking away ''i will be right back", Frank said to the guy, stood up and walked away, he got to the room and met Tessy sitted on the bed, her two hands on her jaw ''wat was the meaning of that actions of urs? u didn't even greet my friend", Frank said and sat beside Tessy on the bed ''excuse me! u called that, friend? where in God's name did u see that kind of a person? didn't u see his or better still her look? there is no different between he and she! he was even putting on chains on both of his legs, and even painted his lips red, Frank! I do not want to see that kind of a person in this house or u loose me for good and I mean it", Tessy threatened '' he is the Charlie I do tell u about", Frank said ''wat? Charlie? but why did he look that way? putting on chains on his legs and even painted his lips, I didn't even talk about the ear rings he put on his ears", Tessy said and sighed ''everybody with their way of dressing, maybe he choose to dress that way, I was even surprised on his look when I went to pick him, anyway that is by the way, how is mama? or didn't u see her again? Frank asked ''frank! u need to advise ur friend Charlie to always dress decent as a man, for Godsake he is a man and not a woman, tell him to dress proper Biko", Tessy said ''ok I will do just that my lady", Frank said smiling and kissed Tessy lightly on the lips ''so can we go to the sitting room so u could greet my friend? Frank asked ''that will be next time, just tell him am having an headache and I couldn't be able to come out", Tessy said and smiled faintly ''ok! if u say so! let me go join him", Frank said while Tessy nodded slowly ''catch u later", Frank said and walked away.
Tessy was returning back from the market when a Toyota Corolla stopped right in front of her, the guy driving the car wined down the glass ''hi pretty! I saw u buying things in the market so I decided to wait for u", Ken, yes that is the guy's name, he said ''me?? sorry are u talking to me? Tessy asked looking around ''yes offcourse it's u, I must confess u are beautiful", Ken admired ''thanks", Tessy said and was about walking away when Ken stopped her ''calm down and listen to me pretty", Ken said, opened his car and came down, that was when Tessy realized he has a limping leg, Tessy looked at his leg and shakes her head ''yes wat is it? Tessy asked in a rude way ''i know am a stranger to u but u just have to hear me out, am not a bad person", Ken said ''yes wat is it? Tessy asked looking at him in a disgusting way ''can I have ur number so we could talk better or better still I give u mine", Ken said looking at Tessy ''am sorry! I don't talk to one leg man and besides I have a fiance, excuse me", Tessy boldly said and was about walking away when Ken held her back, with anger Tessy landed him a hot slap on the face ''how dare u touch me? are u mad? Tessy shouted, hissed and walked away.
.
She got home, dropped the thing she bought at the kitchen then went straight to the room and met Frank on his laptop, she kissed him and fell on his body ''babe! a man approached me today telling me he likes me and that he wanted us to date ourselves", Tessy said touching frank's cheek ''and wat was ur answer? Frank asked and stood up ''off course I agreed, since u are not willing to marry me, I feel like giving another man a chance", Tessy said smiling ''u can't do that to me Tessy! I want to surprise u now close ur eyes", Frank said ''oh really? I can't wait", Tessy said and closed her eyes, Frank dipped his hand in his pocket and brought out a small box then open it, it contains a gold ring ''now open ur eyes", Frank said as Tessy opened her eyes, she screamed happily on seeing the ring, then she stretched forth her hand ''frank! yes yes yes I will marry u, the day have been longing for is finally here, I will marry u my love", Tessy said excitedly ''calm down babe! am not engaging u yet, this is a promising ring, is just to promise u that I will marry u, so relax", Frank said, while Tessy hissed and angrily left the room.

Got you swervin' lane-to-lane, don't hit the brakes
'Cause I'm feelin' so safe

I'll be your baby, on a Sunday
Oh, why don't we get out of town?
Call me your baby, on the same wave
Oh, no, no, there's no slowin' down

You and I, I
Ridin' Harleys in Hawaii-i-i
I'm on the back, I'm holdin' tight, I
Want you to take me for a ri-ide, ride
When I hula-hula, hula
So good, you'll take me to the jeweler-jeweler, jeweler
There's pink and purple in the sky-y-y
We're ridin' Harleys in Hawaii-i-i

Let me run my fingers through your salty hair
Go ahead, explore the island
Vibes so real that you can feel it in the air
I'm revvin' up your engine

I'll be your baby, on a Sunday
Oh, why don't we get out of town? (Why don't we get out of town?)
Call me your baby, catch the same wave
Oh, no, no, there's no slowin' down (let's go)

You and I, I
Ridin' Harleys in Hawaii-i-i
I'm on the back, I'm holdin' tight, I
Want you to take me for a ri-ide, ride
When I hula-hula, hula
So good, you'll take me to the jeweler-jeweler, jeweler
There's pink and purple in the sky-y-y
We're ridin' Harleys in Hawaii-i-i

No, no

You and I (you and I, I)
Ridin' Harleys in Hawaii-i-i
I'm on the back, I'm holdin' tight, I
Want you to take me for a ri-ide, ride
When I hula-hula, hula
So good, you'll take me to the jeweler-jeweler, jeweler
There's pink and purple in the sky-y-y
We're ridin' Harleys in Hawaii-i-i

I'll be your baby, on a Sunday
Oh, whoa
We're ridin' Harleys in Hawaii-i
Call me your baby, catch the same wave
Oh, whoa
We're ridin' Harleys in Hawaii-i

PART 2

"....In my presence, they cut off the woman's head. Then they took me to a different building and asked me which of my family members could provide 10 million Naira, and I said I don't know.

They asked whom I'll like to call, and I said my Dad and they called him. He asked where I was and I told him I didn't know.

He asked if I knew those people with me and I replied no. My Dad told them over the phone that the same way they took me is the same way they'll return me.

They told my Dad that if he didn't bring the money before Sunday they would k.i.ll me, and they meant every word of it.

Next, they took me inside and was slapping and shouting at me, asking me why my father would be challenging them.

They left the room, and I saw a young pregnant lady in the room who said she has been there for three (3) years. They impregnate her, take away the child after delivery, and a man sucks her breast milk.

I asked her how they brought her there and she said she works with a radio station and was going to work one morning around 5am to give 6am news.

She ordered a Bolt and found herself there. I asked if anyone had tried reaching her and she said 'none'.

She said they tried to collect ransom, but they collected the money and still held her; and that there is a building there but it cannot be seen.

Later, they returned my belongings intact except my clothes which they couldn't find and had to give me another person's own.

They asked if I'd know my way back when they drop me, I said 'yes'. Then they blindfolded me and dropped me at a roadside and told me not to remove the blindfold until I cease to hear the sound of their car.

After they left, I laid in the bush because I was scared, didn't know anywhere or what to expect next. Meanwhile, while they were taking me out of the building before blindfolding me, I saw another room filled with little children both babies, toddlers and even old women.

While I was hiding, I saw a cyclist carrying a passenger and on his return I stopped him and asked him to help me.

He asked what I was doing there and I told him my ordeal. He asked of my destination and I told him Port harcourt.

I begged him to help me get to the park and he used his phone to contact my dad who sent me money to pay him through the cyclist's account.

Meanwhile, when I asked the cyclist of the location where the kidnappers dropped me, he said it was a village in Anambra State.

The cyclist helped me board a bus to portharcourt and my dad was already waiting for me at waterline.

According to my dad, when he got the information of my kidnap, he took permission from work to the police station to make a report and solicit for their intervention.

The police told him they can't intervene till after 24 hours. My Dad travelled to the village and met a native doctor who told him I was still alive but would be killed if nothing was done.

So, while I was making the call with my Dad, it was the native doctor who told him to respond to them as he did, and that was the day I returned home.

I don't know if it was my period that saved me or if it's the place my Dad went to, but I know I'm alive.
Since I returned, I haven't been able to sleep"

THE END

MY GOD, WHEN?

Part 25.

"Mummy, I met a man some months ago. He told me he was interested in me. I loved him at first sight but, I was very careful not to tamper with my heart." I said.

"Tell me more, dear." Mummy said as I continued.

He told me how God made him to understand that we were meant for each other. He told me he loves me. He said he wants me to be his wife and mother of his children.

The word "children" made my heart to skip. I kept quiet but, battling with thousands of thoughts coming to my mind. I was still deeply lost in thought when he asked if I would marry him.

I asked him to repeat what he said. He did. I didn't know when I asked him if he could marry a woman without womb. He told me "yes". I was happy.

I didn't know what made him to ask me a question, further. He asked if I wasn't having a womb. I didn't know what to answer him. I just told him "not really" . I told him I was just asking, to test his love for me.

He told me how much he loved me. He asked if I could marry him.
He was expecting me to say "yes" immediately.

I told him I would pray about it.

Mummy, I prayed about it but, I didn't hear anything. God didn't tell me anything.

We continued as friends. He kept on mounting pressure on me to give him an answer. I knew giving him a negative response would tamper his emotion because he really believed I was meant for him.

One day, I told him about my dreams and aspirations. I told him everything because I wanted to know his mind.

I just don't want to settle for any man that isn't interested in my future. I don't want to settle with a dream killer.

I know who God says I am. I know I am going to be a great woman. So, settling with a man who isn't interested in my greatness is out of it." I said as I drank a cup of water.

" That is it ooo, my daughter. " My mentor said as I continued.

So, along the line, I realized that he was a purposeless man. I realized that the two of us can't work in the same direction. He doesn't believe in what I believe.

When I realized that he wasn't going to be of help to me, I told God to have his way.

He called me one day and asked me to report to our usual place of meeting in the afternoon.

I tried explaining to him to tell him I wouldn't be able to make it to our meeting place at that time. He didn't allow me to finish my explanation when he ended the call.

I felt bad. He wasn't ready to listen to my plight. He believed he had the final say over me. He had forgotten that I was human. I just couldn't make it there at that speculated time due to my work.

On getting to that place, mummy, he was waiting for me. He had been waiting for me, close to an hour. It wasn't as if I didn't explain to him when he called me that morning.

I haven't dropped my bag on the table when he stood up and asked why I decided to disobey him. It was obviously written on his face that he was angry with me.

As I was trying to explain myself, he gave me a dirty slap. Not only that, he called me all sort of names.

I couldn't bear it. I wept. What actually made me to weep was the fact that I have been through a lot especially in my relationships. It's been hard locating my Mr. Right.

I placed my hand on my cheek. It hurts. It was a very painful incidence that I will never forget. I managed to sit. I kept quiet.
He didn't know when he began to beg me. He prostrated but, I was not moved.

Deep within me, I knew it was over. He begged me but, all fell on deaf ears.

He told me to forgive him. He made me to know that anger had been one of his weak points.

I acted as if I was deaf and dumb. My silence was killing him. He became confused. He stood up, looked at me and took his leave.

Immediately he left, I couldn't help but shed another round of tears.

"My God, when? When will my man come around. At 36! All my friends are married. My parents are frustrated. My dad isn't interested in my so called" will of God." He just wanted me to settle. Mum was becoming impatient. My God, when? When will he come around? When will I have children? My God when??????" I said.

"Dear very soon." My mentor said.

"Yes, mummy, I believe God. That reminds me, I received a text message from Darasimi." I said.

"Tell me more." My mentor said.

Mummy, Daniel is....

Part 1
After writing jamb, I met a young guy in a bank and we became friends. Within a short time we started dating. He was still a student then, but he had a small car and a bet9ja shop at his village.

It wasn't up to 3 months, I got admission and he asked me to marry him. He was a very nice guy, so I accepted his proposal.

I got home and told my mom about him, she said she would need to see him before she'd say anything.

He then started making plans to marry me, but it didn't sit well with me so I told him I needed more time to get to know him and be sure I really want to marry him.

He said he was an Anglican but for over 6 months I knew him, he hasn't gone to church. Its always one story every Sunday. He doesn't even pray, doesn't own a Bible. When I tell him about my dreams, he'd say he doesn't believe in dreams.

He doesn't rapport with his family at all. He is the lastborn and his shop was just a stone throw to his family house but he'd go to his shop everyday and wouldn't enter his family house.

Even when he's sick, he would warn me never to inform his family. I began feeling really weird.

He would always drop me off in front of my gate anytime we go on a date, but he never agreed to come inside my compound to at least greet my mom or my siblings.

It almost became a problem between us one fateful day and he reluctantly came in that day and greeted my mom.

After almost a year and 6 months, a lady chatted me on Facebook and started telling me how my ex got her pregnant and abandoned her. She sent me screenshots of their chats as evidence.

From the screenshots, I deduced that it was that same day he proposed to me that he laid with her. I couldn't believe it. I confronted him and he didn't deny it. He told me he would take care of it and I didn't ask him about it again cos I decided to forget about it.

However he lost my trust and I was really mad inside of me.

That was the beginning of his woes. His business began to crash and his customers started owing him. He would even go to his shop and play bets until he ran into huge debts. He couldn't meet up with his weekly accounts so his account was blocked. I borrowed money from my friends thrice to unlock his blocked account.

His car engine broke down and he had no money to fix it. His house rent expired and he had no money to renew. I gave him money to renew it and he used it for betting. Landlord threw out his things for him and he parked them in his shop. I advised him to go and stay in his family house, he refused.

He started sleeping in his shop and had nowhere to bathe. He also didn't have money to feed. After lectures, I'd bring him food, get him neat clothes to wear and take the dirty ones to wash in my hostel."

"I'm 29years old and engaged to a man for marriage, our wedding was to take place Easter but a misunderstanding broke out so everything was put on hold.

I later realized I was pregnant and we don't stay in same state, we are far away from each other, I'm in Enugu while he's in Lagos.

My fiance have never sent money for upkeep of the pregnancy, he totally turned his back on us, I paved my way through my pregnancy journey and now I'm almost due.

The issue now is that I've spent everything I had, I'm becoming so scared of the unknown, my future seems uncertain and I can't work for now cus I'm not a graduate, I'm a cook and I couldn't continue due to my condition.

His family are aware and his mum is even complaining he isn't looking after them as well, she said he is that stingy. She's always complaining of how they are finding it difficult to survive.

Truth is, it's still his stinginess and cunning attitude that caused the misunderstanding, he always want to collect from me even thou he was earning more than myself.

He wanted me to finance our Court wedding that April last year promising to pay me back later but I refused and that was the beginning of of our misunderstanding.

My parents are late and my two sisters are financially incapable of helping me.

Please I'm not here to take advantage of anyone, neither am I here ask for too much.

All I need is baby things, anyone who has baby things she no longer need, clothes or other accessories can help me

I'm over 37weeks but I haven't even gotten things on the hospital list... I'm so anxious"

Dear young person,
Please, do your possible best to avoid these mistakes that easily beset young people as those who have made them ended up in regrets.Hence, the reason for the article.
These dangerous mistakes are highlighted below:
🔸Living to work, instead of working to live. Never pass up a good thing.

🔸Cynicism. If you think you can't make a difference, you probably won't.How you see yourself determines what you get in any situation.

🔸Thinking that your parents aren't as human as you are. And taking them for granted.Value your parents now that they are alive even if you feel they don't deserve it.You are probably going to feel it when they leave someday.

🔸Drugs and alcohol abuse. These substances can be addictive, which means that they will make you do things you normally wouldn't do. Pay attention and be cautious with them.

Thanks for reading ❤️

*THE WITCH’S DAUGHTER*

CHAPTER 1

I was only five years old and we had just moved into that neighbourhood. My father worked at the hospital, which required us to move a lot. The hospital, which was run by a church, had a habit of transferring its hospital staff to a new station every after about six years. That’s how we happened to find ourself in that town and in that neighbourhood. Under normal circumstances, we were supposed to live in the hospital compound. The hospital actually had a compound for its staff. However, we were told it was full. We had no choice but to seek accommodation in town.

My family was composed of my dad, mum, younger sister and I. My younger sister was three and had just started school before we were forced to move. My mum was a teacher in the private sector and my dad as you already know, was medical personnel.

It was difficult for us to have accommodation. However, my dad was advised to seek the help of a housing agent. While our belongings were packed at the hospital store room, we had to wait another two weeks before we could get a call from the agent. He asked my dad to see him in his office the following day. He said he had been able to secure for us a good apartment for a family our size. My dad was very pleased and promised to see him the next day without fail. The next day, my dad took me along in his car to see the agent. We got to his office some thirty minutes later and this conversation followed.

“Good Day, Sir and welcome.” The agent said.

“Good Day, young man. How are you?”

“I am fine, Sir.”

“So, any luck yet? Have you been able to get an apartment for me like you promised you would?” My dad asked.

“Yes, Sir. I have. A nice apartment. I hope you will love it.”

“I hope so too. But why did you say that?” My dad asked, bewildered.

“The neighbourhood, Sir. I am not a very big fan of that neighbourhood. In fact, I am not crazy about that neighbourhood at all.” The agent said, sweating.

“Why? What is wrong with the neighbourhood?’ My dad asked.

“It is said that witches and wizards inhabit the neighbourhood. Terrible things have been happening in that neighbourhood. In fact, a lot of terrible stories have been coming from that part of town.”

My dad was a devout Christian. As much as he believed evil spirits exist, he also believed strongly in the holy spirit. Stories of ghosts and evil spirits didn’t scare him. He believed nothing under the sky can harm him as long as his faith and trust in God was unshaken.

“Tell me some of the stories of that neighbourhood you have heard about.” My dad said.

“Are you sure you really want to hear?” The agent asked.

“I do. Please tell me. I am, a busy man and I don’t have time to waste. Go on with your stories about painted devils.” My dad was getting impatient.

“Sir, the stories are real. These stories are not about painted devils. They are real. For example, the mother of the lady who owns the apartment I am getting for you was said to be a witch. She has died, anyway. However, rumour has it that, the landlady was her favourite child. She therefore passed on all her witchcraft to her before dying. It is rumoured that she killed her husband, that is the father of the landlady.” The agent narrated.

My dad didn’t seem to be scared by the stories. In addition to his strong and unwavering believe in God, my dad was also a very stubborn man. He was also very adventurous, a trait I had unfortunately acquired.

“The father of the landlady; was he rich?” My dad asked the agent.

“Very rich, Sir. Very, very rich.” The agent said.

“That explains it.” My dad said, laughing. “Whenever a rich man dies, people always accuse his poor and innocent wife. That is Africa. I don’t believe any of your stories. Let’s talk about the rents, terms and conditions and when I am moving in.”

“Ok, Sir. If you say so. I just said I should tell you what I need to tell you, so that you don’t say I hid anything from you in the future.” The agent said.

“Alright, thank you. Now let’s get to the real business of the day.” My dad had really become impatient now.

“The apartment costs 50,000 a month. You have to pay one-year rents upfront.”

“Ok, what else?”

“There are just two apartments in that particular building. Yours is at the right-hand corner. The landlady also lives in the compound. Her own apartment is directly opposite yours. However, there is a huge space separating the two buildings. You can move in as soon as you are able to pay the money.” The agent explained.

“That will be tomorrow. I will pay tomorrow, clean the house and moving in the day after. Now take this.” My dad said, handing him the agency fees.

“Thank you, Sir. Thank you very much. I appreciate.”

“That’s alright, young man. Now any other ghost stories?” My dad asked with a smile on his face.

“None whatsoever, Sir.” The agent said. I suspected in his mind, he said, “You will find out for yourself.”

My dad asked me to get into the car and we drove off. As we drove home, he warned me not to tell my mum anything about the agent’s stories. He made me to expressly promise him I wouldn’t. I did promise I wouldn’t and I had no intentions of not keeping my promise. My dad was not the kind of person whose promise you would break in any circumstance. He was a great disciplinarian but very caring and loving.

My dad hadn’t believed anything he was told by the agent. To him it was an old wives’ tale. To him it was stories men told each other when they were drinking at their ogogoro joints. However, as young as I was, I believed the agent and I was very angry at my dad for making me promise not to say anything to my mum.

I believed the agent because I had experienced some strange things in our former station. I couldn’t tell if they were real or not but they were very vivid and explicit. One day, while I was at the back of the house, I had seen witches, carrying little babies on their backs, dancing. They disappeared as soon as they realized I had seen them. At night I was always seeing a black head always looking and blinking at me. I also once had a hallucination where some wizards were trying to kill me and my dad was begging them not to. Suddenly my dad was dragged away and as they attempted to strike me; my three years old younger sister appeared in the form of an angel with a halo around her head and saved me.

I had never told anyone any of these devilries. As young as I was, I kept them in my mind. I decided that as we moved into the new house, if my father didn’t want to take any precautions, I would. For the sake of my mum and younger sister.

*TEMPTED SOUL*

EPISODE 10

As my body landed on the dusty ground, I was in panic and I didn't know what else to do. I was just staring at them like a zombie. One of the men started walking towards me with rage, his face was so dry and I could see his chest dancing up and down. His nose flared up, and his eyes as sharp as the eyes of the vulture.

I feared for what might happen to me at that moment. Everything was horrible and unbelievable. Just then I turned to my left and my eyes caught sight of the knife I'd used earlier to cut the rope from my legs. A voice inside of me whispered into my ears to take the knife and sprang into action.

I glanced at myself and begins to wonder which of the courage and that of the power will I used to confront these angry men. These men who will just dash me one blow and I will collapse. After thinking for a while, still laying on the ground like a hungry tiger, then a tangible idea flashed into my head.

Pronto, I reached out for the knife and held Alfonso's head as he was still laying on the ground in pain. I put the knife to his neck, threatening to kill him with it. For whatever reason that gave me such courage and boldness of mind, I didn't know.

"Drop the gun or I'll kill him. Drop the gun now." I commanded with the voice of authority. The guy looked at me for a while and gently dropped his gun to the ground. The other one was still looking at me and pointing his pistol at me.

"Fire boy, pick your gun, stop acting like a kid here. Why would you obey the voice of this little rat? Have you forgotten your adventure and rank in this game?" The other guy, whose name was Jack, said and was still pointing his gun at me.

"You have to surrender to her to save the boss's life. Boss, life is important. Remember the deal on this game. I really need to leave the country as soon as possible," he replied.

"What the heck? Are you out of your mind? Let the boss go to hell; after all, we can escape with the money."

"What do you mean? So you want to betray him. Is that what you mean?"

"Yes, that is the best option now. What do you think?"

"We don't have to do this. Remember, he is the central chief of this game. He deserved to be rewarded," the guy was still trying to negotiate as Jack cut him off without even giving him a chance to finish.

"You're going insane. I can see that you are out of your mind. If you are not ready to go with me, then I have to kill the two of you and find my way out of this place." I was scared when he said those words. It hit my heart like a tsunami. I was scared because he meant every word he said.

If this guy was going to kill his boss and his colleague, which meant I was going to be involved in the killing. The boss never promised to kill me, so I needed to do something quickly before time ran out.

"Enough is enough. Why do you want to betray your master? Why do you want to betray him after all he had done for you?" I fired, but inwardly I was scared and trying to make use of my number six.

"He betrayed you; did he explain the reason why he did so to you? So, I will betray him for betraying you. Nobody is clean here; we are sinners. The street you see is only the strongest and fittest who survive it. Now I think I am the strongest and fittest here." He responded to me.

"Jack, remember how I picked you up from the street and made you the man who you are today? You Jack," he pointed his finger at his face.

"You have the right to talk at me in such a mannerless way, you have the audacity to look into my eyes and said those imagination words to me. I wouldn't believe you would do this to me after all I've been through for you. You are heartless." Alfonso muttered in regret and amidst tears.

"Who do you think you are by the way. Because I've been keeping my cool and let you use my head, not anymore. We have to end it here." Jack retaliated.

"Jack, do not forget the roof where you put your head when rain was beating you to stupor." Alfonso said.

"You're speaking in parables. I don't want to be entertained or listen to your bull and cock parables. By the way I think I am overrunning my time here." He replied and set his trigger.

"First, I need to start with you, Nkem. You could report us to the custody and make us face the law, so you need to join your so-called man Alfonso, a betrayer." He said, My heart started tickling in fear, beating like never before.

"Begin to say your last prayer," he concluded. The sound of a gunshot rattled in the air. The knife I was holding in my hand fell off to the ground as my heart shattered into pieces.

I thought I was dead. I thought he had shot me dead, only to realize that he was the one who got shot by the policeman behind his back. There were three police officers accompanied by Chioma.

Oh my God! I exclaimed, I didn't believe I would still be alive by now. I didn't believe the whole game would be twisted this way.

"Your hands up." The officer commanded as Fire boy and Alfonso surrendered by raising their arms above their heads.

"But how did they manage to get here?" The confused Alfonso asked in crimson.

"I texted her when I was able to take your phone. I told her everything that was happening here," I replied.

"Have you been to this location before? I mean, how did you manage to describe the location to her?" He asked for the last time.

"I googled the location. This is a 21st century, so everything is digitalized." I replied.

"Enough of this! The two of you are under arrest for kidnapping, attempting murder, robbery, and sexual harassment." The officer stated according to the law, then one of the police officers quickly handcuffed the two of them and pushed them to the police van. As for Jack, who was now a dead man, he was going to be taken to the mortuary.

I received my money in full, still intact as my brother counted it and wrapped inside my handbag.Tears of joy trickled down my cheeks as a smile escaped my lips. I embraced Chioma with a warm hug.

I imagined that the one who I helped also happened to be my helper. What a small world. If not for Chioma, I don't know what my fate or what life would've become now. It was a terrible lesson-filled experience as I escaped from the wilderness of my soul that was once tempted. In fact, for this single act, Chioma really deserved to be rewarded.

As we eked out of the uncompleted three-storey building, all I could do was sob tears. Just sob tears and thank God.
