Procrastination is a horrible thing that has plagued man for years. It involves you not doing what you are meant to do at that particular time, but shifting it into the future (I'll do it tomorrow syndrome). A popular saying goes: "procrastination is the grave in which opportunities are buried". Do you want your opportunities to be buried? If not then keep on reading...
How to stop procrastinating
1) Do it now: when you notice that you're shifting responsibilities or things to tomorrow, firmly say I'll do it now and start doing it immediately without turning back.. For example you want to study but you say "I'll do it another time" , then you open tiktok or a game and waste valuable time that could have been used for something productive and benefiting to your life. Instead drop your phone and start studying immediately.
2) Have an aim: if you struggle with procrastination it might be an indicator that you don't know what to do. So my advice is to focus on how you can positively succeed in life. Think about your job and the requirements for it... Start now in working to get them. Or wether it's getting that A or highscore... My point is, always have an aim.
3) Eliminate distractions: if it means turning off your phone, then do it.. you'll appreciate your self in the future for not getting distracted. If your friends are a source of distraction then cut them off temporarily and focus on your goal or aim.
Last but not the least ...
Ask God for help: God knows every thing about us even more than we do, so always ask him for help.
Finally to conclude.... When procrastination is eliminated, opportunities come in, and with opportunities come success. Thank you for reading through.
