Don't be surprised if Sunday's final is decided by the dreaded penalty shoot-out because they have almost become a guarantee in AFCON finals in recent years.
Six out of the previous 12 finals have come down to a penalty shoot-out including the 2021 edition where Sadio Mane converted the last spot-kick to see Senegal come out victorious against Mohamed Salah and Egypt.
Who could forget the dramatic shoot-out in the 2012 final where 17 penalties were taken as Zambia won the tournament for the first time against favourites Ivory Coast.
Three years later, the Ivorians enacted revenge in the final as they defeated Ghana 9-8 in a unforgettable shoot-out which saw goalkeeper Boubacar Barry save a penalty from the opposing keeper, before converting the winning penalty himself.

Nigeria international, Victor Osimhen, says he will continue to wear the Napoli badge with honour despite persistent talks about a misunderstanding between the striker and the Italian champions, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

The Super Eagles striker made this known in an official statement on Sunday.

Osimhen had been the subject of two videos posted to Napoli’s official TikTok account, one of which mocked his penalty miss against Bologna, whilst the second compared him to a coconut.

The situation left last season’s top scorer furious, as well as upsetting a number of his close colleagues, supporters and government officials in his home nation of Nigeria.

No player in NBA history is taller than Manute Bol. Over the course of his career, the 7ft 7in South Sudanese blocked more shots than he scored points, making him the only NBA player ever to do so. After he played college basketball for the Bridgeport Purple Knights, Bol was selected by the Washington Bullets in the 1985 NBA draft. Bol played for the Bullets and three other teams over the course of his NBA career, which lasted from 1985 to 1995. Bol is considered among the best shot-blockers in the history of the sport and is the only NBA player to retire with more career blocked shots than points scored. As of December 2022, he ranked second in NBA history in blocked shots per game and 16th in total blocked shots.

Bol was notable for his efforts to promote human rights in his native Sudan and aid for Sudanese refugees.
Bol was also the only player in the NBA to have killed a lion with a spear and to have paid 80 cows for his wife.

Spurs Hold Arsenal In Pulsating North London Derby

Although Tottenham have now won just one of their last 31 league trips to Arsenal and remain without a victory on enemy territory since 2010, there was much to admire from Postecoglou's team.

Tottenham came from behind twice to rescue a pulsating 2-2 draw against Arsenal thanks to Son Heung-min’s double in Sunday’s north London derby.

Ange Postecoglou’s side trailed to Cristian Romero’s first half own goal before South Korea forward Son hauled them level at the Emirates Stadium.

Bukayo Saka restored Arsenal’s lead with a second half penalty, but Son had the last word with his second goal as these bitter rivals both extended their unbeaten starts to the Premier League season.

Tottenham sit in fourth place, above fifth placed Arsenal on goal difference, after a hard-fought clash offered more evidence that Postecoglou has revived a club in turmoil when he arrived from Celtic in the close-season.

Although Tottenham have now won just one of their last 31 league trips to Arsenal and remain without a victory on enemy territory since 2010, there was much to admire from Postecoglou’s team.

Not only did they show impressive character to twice hit back from Arsenal’s goals, but they did it with the kind of eye-catching play that was so rarely seen during Antonio Conte’s reign.

Tottenham have scored at least twice in all six league games under Postecoglou despite the close-season departure of the club’s record goalscorer Harry Kane to Bayern Munich.

For Arsenal, it was a frustrating afternoon as they lost ground on leaders Manchester City, who stand four points above them in the title race.

Arsenal tested Tottenham’s mettle in a blistering start as Saka scooped a pinpoint cross to the far post, where Gabriel Jesus’ half-volley drew a fine save from Guglielmo Vicario.

If that was a well-crafted chance, Arsenal’s second opportunity came gift-wrapped by Tottenham defender Destiny Udogie.

Udogie’s woeful backpass was intercepted by Eddie Nketiah for a fierce strike that Vicario repelled at his near post.

Arsenal’s pressure was mounting and they took the lead in the 26th minute, albeit in the most fortuitous fashion possible.

As Tottenham’s defenders backed off too far, Saka advanced into the area and curled in a shot that took a huge deflection off Romero’s out-stretched leg as it flashed past the wrong-footed Vicario.

Rubbing salt into Tottenham’s wounds, Saka copied James Maddison’s goal celebration as the dejected midfielder trudged back to the centre circle.

Arsenal keeper David Raya, starting his third successive match instead of Aaron Ramsdale, made an outstanding save to keep out Brennan Johnson’s strike late in the first half.

But, with Tottenham gradually turning the tide, Raya was guilty of misjudging a cross in the attack that led to the visitors’ 42nd minute equaliser.

After Raya weakly palmed the ball away rather than catching it, he managed to save Johnson’s effort, but Tottenham still recycled possession to Maddison.

Exacting revenge on Saka for his earlier taunt, Maddison adroitly evaded the winger and cut a low cross towards Son, who deftly flicked his shot past Raya from six yards.

Arteta had to send on Jorginho for the injured Declan Rice at half-time but Arsenal quickly regained the lead in the 54th minute.

The hapless Romero blocked Ben White’s close-range shot with his hand, conceding a penalty that referee Robert Jones awarded after checking the pitchside monitor.

Saka calmly stroked the spot-kick past Vicario before passing up more mockery of Maddison as he celebrated with a gleeful knee slide this time.

Remarkably, Arsenal’s advantage lasted just seconds as Tottenham snatched a 55th minute leveller.

Maddison was the instigator again, dispossessing the careless Jorginho in midfield before teeing up Son for a clinical finish into the far corner.

In a dramatic finale, Son nearly won it when he fired into the side-netting before Arsenal’s Gabriel Magalhaes nodded inches wide and Saka’s drive forced a fine save from Vicario.

"After what has happened this
week, I would like to convey my sadness, as a person, as the father of three daughters, as a husband and as a footballer, in the face of the events that we are experiencing in our football and around the Spanish women's team.

"I believe that we cannot tolerate performances like the ones we have seen, which have tarnished a milestone as big as winning a World Cup. I cannot imagine the feeling that all the players of the national team must have right
now seeing how they are not talking about the great tournament they had and the fantastic
football they taught us all.

It's a shame that a beautiful story that many players have built over so many years has become dirty.

Sports betting is very popular in Nigeria especially amongst the large youth population.
Sports betting can be addictive leading to large losses and debts.
If you are into sports betting, it is very important to bet responsibly.
Set a target to stop if you are winning or loosing.
Chasing more bets to cover your loses can lead to more loses thereby setting you on the path to bankruptcy.

"Al Nassr played the Arab cup final this evening against Al Hilal.

The first half ended in a goalless draw 0:0

Second half kicked off and Al Hilal scored the first goal of the game 1:0

Al Nassr were at the exit already and waiting to lose the final.

70 mins, Al Nassr defender and another two players got red cards 🟥 and leaves the pitch, they're down to 8 men and losing 1:0 to Al Hilal.

Rival fans brought out their cooking pots, those who wished Al Nassr failure were already making mockery posts.

It didn't take long, on the 74th minute, 4 minutes after they were reduced to number of men, Cristiano Ronaldo Dos Santos Aveiro scored a goal for his team, Al Nassr and they were levelled with the opposing team 1:1

Few minutes later, Cristiano Ronaldo Dos Santos Aveiro scored again for his 8man team and they were ahead in the match 2:1

Unfortunately the goal was ruled offside and cancelled and scores went back to 1:1.

It continued this way until the full 90 minutes ended. Then they went on to extra time.

Eight minutes after extra time kicked off, Cristiano Ronaldo Dos Santos Aveiro scored again against Al Hilal and gave his team the lead once again, 2:1.

The match went on to second half of extra time and at the die minute, when the opponents saw they couldn't stop this god in form of a man, they decided to injure him as it's the only way to take him off the pitch.

He left at the dle minute crying because he couldn't continue anymore due to his injury. Although he had given his 8man team the lead, he wanted to stay and ensure their victory.

His teammates saw their powerhouse had left the pitch in tears and they knew the only way they can pay him back for helping them to victory is to defend the lead he gave them until full time.

They did just that! Yes! The match ended 2:1 in favour of Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr. They won the match and carried the cup!

Their captain, Cristiano Ronaldo led them to victory...he guided them all the way from the group stage to the final day.

He is not human
He is the most clutch player of our time
The greatest of all time
The king of football

In England, they call him the king of football
In Spain, he is called 'Más grande de todos los tiempos'
In Italy, after spending just 3 years, they tagged him 're del calcio'
In America, they call him the god of soccer.
Currently in Saudi Arabia, he is hailed as ما هي أسطورة كرة القدم
..and in Nigeria, he is called 'Ororo'

Ladies and gentlemen, the one true GOAT, Cristiano Dos Santos Aveiro Ronaldo.

Take a bow Odogwu"

ME : Congratulations 🎉 the king of football ⚽ in all leagues

Then, after observing a kangaroo, the American sprinter Sherrill decided to try a new starting position. As for kangaroos, they duck to the ground just before the start.

Despite the protest of the judge and the mockery of the spectators, Sherrill applied the new method and immediately won the race.

In the Martingale system, where the stake is doubled after each loss, let's list out the staking amount for each stake based on the initial stake of $5:

Stake 1: $5
Stake 2: $10
Stake 3: $20
Stake 4: $40
Stake 5: $80
Stake 6: $160
Stake 7: $320
Stake 8: $640
Stake 9: $1280
Stake 10: $2560
Stake 11: $5120
Stake 12: $10,240
Stake 13: $20,480
Stake 14: $40,960
Stake 15: $81,920
Stake 16: $163,840
Stake 17: $327,680
Stake 18: $655,360
Stake 19: $1,310,720

Please note that this list assumes no betting limits or running out of funds. Each stake is double the previous stake, starting from the initial stake of $5. However, it's important to approach the Martingale system with caution as it carries inherent risks and may not guarantee profitability in the long run.

The Martingale system is a popular betting strategy that originated in 18th-century France and is commonly used in gambling and investing. It is based on the principle of doubling the bet after each loss in order to recover previous losses and potentially make a profit.

The basic idea behind the Martingale system is that if you continue doubling your bet after every loss, eventually, you will win and recoup all previous losses, plus make a small profit. The assumption is that a win is inevitable and will cover all previous losses. However, there are several key considerations and limitations to keep in mind:

1. Risk of substantial losses: While the Martingale system appears to offer a surefire way to recover losses, it can quickly lead to significant losses if a losing streak persists. As the bets double with each loss, the required wager amount can grow exponentially.

2. Bankroll limitations: The system assumes an unlimited bankroll, as a long losing streak can require extremely large bets to recoup previous losses. In reality, most gamblers have finite resources, and there may be table limits that prevent excessively large bets.

3. House edge: The Martingale system does not take into account the house edge or odds of winning. In games with a house edge (such as in casinos), the system can lead to long-term losses, even if short-term gains are possible.

4. Psychological impact: The strategy relies on the belief that a win will occur eventually. However, there is no guarantee of when this will happen, and the emotional and psychological toll of experiencing consecutive losses can be significant.

It's important to note that the Martingale system is not a mathematically sound strategy for overcoming the house edge or consistently winning in games of chance. It is often viewed as a high-risk betting system that can lead to substantial losses if not used carefully and with strict bankroll management.
