The oldest dog in the world, a Portuguese Rafeiro do Alentejo dog named Bobi, has died at the age of 31, or about 217 in dog years πŸ₯ΊπŸΆ

Owner Leonel Costa announced on Monday that Bobi had passed away in a veterinary hospital over the weekend, at the age of 31 years and 165 days.

β€œDespite outliving every dog in history, his 11,478 days on earth would never be enough for those who loved him,” said Karen Becker, a veterinarian who met Bobi several times and who was the first to announce his death on social media. β€œGodspeed, Bobi.”

DO YOU KNOW
The worlds deadliest animal isn’t a shark, bear or tiger, but something far smaller – the mosquito. According to the World Health Organization, 725,000 people are killed each year from mosquito-borne diseases, such as Malaria, dengue fever and yellow fever

At night, low clouds appear whiter than the sky when the city lights are high.

In contrast, in a dark area, clouds obscure the faint glow of the night sky and appear black.

𝐴𝑛 𝑂𝑑𝑒 π‘‘π‘œ 𝑑𝒉𝑒 π‘€π‘œπ‘œπ‘›

when l look up in the sky
l see the moon
it is following me
everywhere and perhaps
anywhere
like a pet dog roving about
with its owner
or like my shadow
in the ray of the day
that perseveringly stays
much that l do not feel
short of a companion

On the blackest night
in the darkest of neighborhood
where the humans have
seek refuge in their homes
and the streets, fields
are empty and harsh and cold
and the atmosphere abounds
with crows of threat
only the moon and l are out here
bearing witness and the distress
as we perform through the night

how it embitters me
when we are parting each other
for the approach of the morn
you, dimnishing out of sight
me, closing for the night
till another moonful darkfall
that comes to unite us again

Thank God
for the moonlight
for even the watchmen
of the night
cannot wish more
than an aide of light
and watchful eye of
the heavens
upon them
